What is Ilustra?

Ilustra is a graphical information gathering and communication tool. It can be used to analyze all kinds of documents that are in an image form. Suppose you are the owner of a document but you do not know much information about it. In that case you would use Ilustra to present the document to others; have them study the different portions of the document, and finally send you a response with the findings made. Much value would be added to the document using the collective knowledge of others. The added capabilities of sound and animation make Ilustra attractive for young and old.

Is Ilustra difficult to use?

Ilustra is very easy to use, in fact you will create an Ilustra document in less than five minutes. A detailed manual will be provided. These are the steps: You invoke the Ilustra Main Control screen which looks like this:
All you do is:

  1. Use the Browse button to choose the document you want.
  2. Click on Preview so you can see the image.
    (you can then browse again if you picked the wrong document).
  3. Type in a Title, a date of creation and a couple of paragraphs to describe the document.
  4. Choose how many sections of analysis you want (i.e. 6 rows and columns)
  5. Enter your e-mail address.
  6. Click on the button "Use This Image".
  7. Thats all! Your image will be ready to view.
  8. The instruction manual takes you through all this and explains how to complete known information about your document and how to save it for others to use.
